With tones evoking nostalgia for summers past, Wildflower prints pop against soft neutrals, playful stripes amplify clean lines, and delicate embroidery sits against butter yellow. These beautifully balanced pairings work seamlessly for an everyday adventure or evening celebration.

Wildflower, our stunning new feature print, was created by local artist and Nancybird founder, Emily Wright.
Emily spent time in the 2020 lockdown at home rediscovering her love of painting landscapes and florals, finding her muse for this print in the local wildflowers of high summer in South Gippsland. Painting in a mix of inks and acrylics, it’s a loose, harmonious style that works with the easy, wearable shapes needed on our warmest days.

Still Life

Still Life welcomes the longer days and channel the joy of warm nights with vibrant colours, bold prints and statement checks. This capsule is all about fun with rich palettes contrasting with soft fabrics and delicate frills, elevating classic shapes with unexpected details.

Inspired by life, food, music and travel, Elle-Louise Burguez is a talented artist and musician based in the Hinterlands of Northern New South Wales. Working spontaneously, Elle’s artworks depict the beauty of still life - simple forms of a vase, a flower, a chair, a cup, a cantaloupe – the objects floating playfully across the fabric. Elle chooses to create work that feels good - the results capture a mood of calm and joy synonymous with a summer’s day – windows open, dappled sun and breeze flowing over the curated personal objects inside.

Tiale Lookbook

Tiale is designed in collaboration with Cora-Allan Wickliffe a multidisciplinary artist of Māori and Niue descent, originally from Waitakere, New Zealand. In recent years her practice has focused on her efforts to revive Hiapo, an art form of detailed geometric designs and symbolic motifs – highly prized decoration to be worn or displayed. As the only living traditional maker of Hiapo, Cora-Allan Wickliffe creates her careful linework with the nib of pandanus seed pods pressed onto barkcloth.

Discover a delicate sunset of soft blues, warm raspberries and vibrant chartreuse, adorn artisan woven checks and high contrast prints. Tiale features fresh takes on our iconic styles with relaxed silhouettes and a focus on natural fibres to suit the mix of warm and cool days that come with spring. Tiale includes a beautiful range of new leather styles, featuring leather, jute and canvas bags and leather wallets.

Woodland Lookbook

Discover Woodland our first drop for Spring Summer 2021. Designs that signal the beginnings of spring, textures that mimic flowering heathland and depictions of blossoming Banksias to wake us from the winter. Easy denim shapes and cheerful stripes create this trans-seasonal drop that hints at the warmer weather coming. Silhouettes focus on comfort and ease with a mix of cottons, organic jersey, washed denim, fine corduroy and cotton knitwear. Composed of spring layering essentials, skivvies and pinafores that can be worn on their own or layered for those cooler days.

Designed in collaboration with artist Nicola Woodcock based in the leafy edge of the Northern Beaches, Sydney. Nicola’s landscapes focus on the sculptural – blooming and spent Banksia seed pods, the silhouette of trees on the ridgeline and the gnarled branches of an ancient eucalyptus. Her work is an appreciation of the Australian bush and a celebration of the place she calls home.
