Nancybird Journal

This season marks our second collaboration with Wendy McDonald, an artist whose practice is deeply shaped by the floodplains of the Murray River on Barapa Barapa Country, where she lives and works.

THE STORY

Creating wares for our community, sharing our mutual love of natural materials, Australian artists and the skills of the craftspeople that bring our collections to life.

Nancybird is based on the banks of the Merri Creek, on the stolen lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation, whom we acknowledge as the Traditional Owners of the land on which we work, recognising their continuing connection to land, waters, and culture. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present, and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island peoples today and every day.
