Translating the beauty of Wendy McDonald’s landscapes into wearable art, the Wendy Crossbody is a perfect size for travelling light.

A small bag with hidden top zipped compartment. Front side is a waxed canvas with digital print, back side is vegetable-tanned leather, with a long strap to fit crossbody and gold hardware.

Our collaboration with Wendy McDonald features in this digital print - Wendy's paintings depict the landscape around her farm just north of the Murray River - craggy old trees, lagoons, the colours of the changing seasons.

  • vegetable-tanned cow leather back and strap
  • digitally printed waved canvas front
  • gold hardware

w 31 x h 17 x d 12cm
strap 2.5 x 110cm

Leather is a natural product and will wear beautifully with age where good care has been taken. We recommend waterproof spray on purchase, and occasional cleaning and conditioning. Any suede areas should be protected with a spray, and cleaned with a suede brush.

Meet the Makers - Leathergoods

These producers are based in Noida, near to Delhi in India.
They began as a leather tannery in 1954, and are still a family run business.
We only use vegetable tanned leathers, which removes the need for chrome in tanning hides. Natural tannins (sourced from tree bark) are instead used in the tanning process.
We visit these makers annually, and all footage and photography is from our visits there.
