Meet the Makers - Handloom

Using the heritage artisanal skills of handloomed khadi, made at a charitable trust organisation in Maheshwar, India, and sewn at a Fair Trade accredited facility in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

The weavers and spinners set their own wages at an annual general meeting, have childcare on site and have regional programs to bring remote villages an income using their weaving skills.

This film shows some of the processes that went into this product - hand spinning yarn, hand dyeing, hand weaving and stitching.
