All of our leather is vegetable tanned, sourced from Texas, USA before being custom processed in a small, high quality tannery in Dongducheon, South Korea. We are very proud to collaborate with a tannery that traces and shares the source of its raw hides, which is definitely not a typical situation in the leather industry.
The owners, Mr Seol and Mr Kim began their business in 2007, and are passionate about leather - handfeel, colour quality, evenness of tone and texture. Operating with a staff of about twenty, Mr Seol and his colleague Mr Ryu were wonderful hosts to Emily when she visited in June 2017.
On that trip Emily also visited the tannery in Dong Guan, China, where we source our lining leathers - a soft, strong goat vegetable tanned leather used in small areas of our leathergoods collection – mostly the insides of some of our wallets and bags. The lining leathers are perfect for pieces that need their interiors to be slim and sturdy.
