A stunning feature bag that will set off the simplest outfit! The waxed canvas body is the perfect backdrop for the stunning artwork of Julieanne Ngwarraye Morton, while the leather front pocket, short handles and long strap give the style maximum functionality. Wear it crossbody or just grab and go! You’re sure to be stopped in the street with this walking artwork.

We’ve collaborated with First Nations artist Julieanne Ngwarraye Morton in this capsule collection.

Julieanne works with the Artists of Ampilatwatja arts centre near Alice Springs in the Northern Territory. These artists are recognisably distinct from other First Nations artistic communities, as they have consciously decided not to paint Dreaming stories. Julieanne paints using her knowledge of the landscape in fine detail, showing layers of plants, seeds, flowers, hills and rocks.

Waxed canvas tote with Julieanne Ngwarraye Morton’s artwork. Leather front pocket, leather short handles and woven cotton long strap. Front pocket with zip closure.

Waxed canvas body, leather front pocket and short straps. Long woven cotton cross body strap.

Leather is a natural product and will wear beautifully with age where good care has been taken. We recommend waterproof spray on purchase, and occasional cleaning and conditioning. Any suede areas should be protected with a spray, and cleaned with a suede brush.
Waxed canvas can be sprayed with fabric or leather protector and spot cleaned when needed.

Meet the Makers - Leathergoods

These producers are based in Noida, near to Delhi in India.
They began as a leather tannery in 1954, and are still a family run business.
We only use vegetable tanned leathers, which removes the need for chrome in tanning hides. Natural tannins (sourced from tree bark) are instead used in the tanning process.
We visit these makers annually, and all footage and photography is from our visits there.
